Dag Lernstad

I am a member of the SPID-programme and I am a teacher of Biology, Environmental Studies, Geography, Physics and Chemistry. I’m very curious by nature and my leisure pursuit and interests are to run a farm in both a modern and an old traditional way with horses.

I try to preserve rare breeds of horses, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, hens and other farm animals at the same time using my horses in agriculture and forestry. My pigs do a good job in the forest preparing the soil for the next generation trees.  This project enables me to get an insight into Romanian ways of agriculture and farming.

My roles in the CREW-project:

• I helped Jacob Eliasson and Hannes Vikberg with their project work around the The Masterchiefs of Water Testing in Skellefteå.
• I worked with some CREW-activities when the Romanians visited us in Skellefteå:
  • an evening of curling with the Romanians, the class SPID4b and my colleagues, Christina Soldan, Christer Carlsson and Katarina Berglund
  • a visit to TeknoBalder with the Romanians, the class SPID4b and my colleague Katarina Berglund
  • a travel to the Ice Hotel with the Romanians, the class SPID4b and my colleague Christina Soldan
  • an evening-exchange with the Romanian colleague, Alin Guler, at my house
  • Me and my colleagues, Christina Soldan and Stefan Lundgren, invited our Romanian colleagues, Alina Brăban, Judit Vig, Alin Guler and Liliana Pască, at a dinner at the restaurang Tatung, on the second to last night before they returned to Romania.
• I traveled to Romania with the class SPID4b and with my colleagues, Christina Soldan, Christer Carlsson and Katarina Berglund.
